The bath was great and there were two sides, big and small and the sides changed according to genders each day. The bath had natural minerals and wasnt too hot and had a nice view to the garden. Our room was a traditional japanese bedroom with beautiful decorations and comfortable futon matresses. Breakfast had plenty of japanese dishes, many that we tasted the first time. There was also space for lounging and spending time comfortably. The location is remote but easily reachable by the sightseeing bus that stops at nearby town center. There are a few places to eat and at least one convenience store within a walking distance, but the area is very quiet and calm. Nature and mountain views make for relaxing evening walks!

Beautiful location, near bus stop 250 Senkyoro-Mae, lovely onsen and traditional Japanese breakfast. The staff were kind and helpful. We only stayed 1 night, it was a bit rushed. The concierge helped us forward our luggage to Kyoto as we had too much luggage and didn't want to drag it around, doing the Hakone loop. Highly recommended this place, unpretentious, cosy, warm rooms, slept great after onsen. Local restaurant picked us up for dinner and dropped us back. Overall a great experience in Hakone. Thank you. :-)

This was my first experience at an Onsen! The food was exceptional, easily some of the best meals I’ve eaten on the trip. Absolutely worth the cost and a good value. The baths were very relaxing and the effect they have on your skin is something I had always heard about, but it’s kind of unbelievable how true it is. The room itself was beautiful and just sitting in the open mountain air through the screened windows was especially nice to experience.

The room we gad is with the balcony and it is spacious for the 3 of us with our large luggages. The 2 onsens (one small one that can fit 3 and a large one) is nice but there is specific timing for Men and Women. Large Onsen time is 6am -11am for women, Small Onsen 11am-10pm for Women. For men it is the opposite. The walk to the guest house is uphill with some stone steps, so if you are carrying luggages you may need to factor them in.

Wonderful traditional experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Preorder meals if you want to eat there, otherwise there are other options a short walk away. A Taxi will take you directly to the carpark if you don’t want to walk. Busses are convenient too, just check the schedule’s. The walls are quite thin so bring earplugs to avoid hearing neighbours. Overall a lovely place to experience the onsen.
